Ted and Ethel
Ted and Ethel joined A.D.E.P.T. Program Inc. in 1987 ~ separately included into our program.
While they both were in the hospital, they met each other. They began their courtship only to result in a 1990 marriage.
They did many things together, such as vacationing, bowling as well as arts and crafts. They went on vacations to Puerto Rico and attended church together faithfully. Their Wedding day was March 30, 1990. Mr. and Mrs. Diederich were truly a couple most would envy, because they were both madly in love with each other and it showed wherever they went.
There was never a dull moment for the couple and they always shared their strong faith in God and lived life to the fullest. They enjoyed canoeing, visiting the Statue of Liberty, cooking and enjoying holidays like Thanksgiving with the family, and also enjoyed dancing. They typically danced the waltz at the Annual Christmas party and brought many parties to life by being present. In 1999, Ted was taken ill and went into a nursing care facility.
They were an inspiration together. Ethel and Ted enjoyed 12 glorious years together when the Lord called upon Ted to come home to heaven. He passed on December 3, 2003. Though, Ted has passed, his memory lives on with the wonderful stories and pictures that capture the loving moments shared with him and those who he touched their hearts. Ethel still resides in their lovely apartment that they once called home.
Ethel still enjoys many hobbies and interests and does arts and crafts. Ethel is a cancer survivor and loves to go on her daily walk and enjoys caring for her home.
